Printing

Our print quality has been awarded locally and internationally, and we are proud to offer inkjet as well as digital offset printing for our books. Our commitment to accurate colour reproduction includes a colour managed workflow from the software to press, the provision of ICC profiles for soft proofing and manual checks of every printed page.  Your files must be submitted as Master Files (MBFs) exported from our software but they can be created using Momento Pro software, Photoshop, InDesign or Smart Albums.  See our Design Tools section for full details.

4-Colour Digital Prints

All our Photo Book pages and Stationery products are 4-colour prints from an HP Indigo 7800 digital press that uses ElectroInks to produce the widest colour gamut available in digital offset printing today.
The Indigo is the international benchmark for on-demand books and we calibrate the press multiple times a day to ensure accurate colour reproduction.  Every page is individually checked prior to binding.

Colour Management

Accurate colour reproduction is our goal but it's a team effort. We've established a strict colour-managed workflow with ICC profiles for every paper stock.

You can download these profiles to soft proof your images, but this only works when you're using a calibrated monitor, the correct colour space and our recommended settings. To learn everything you need to know for accurate colour, in just a few minutes, visit Design.
