Exporting a Momento Book via Postscript and Distiller
While we don't provide sample or template files for every design application, you can any application as long as you adhere to our design specifications. Some programs don't export directly to PDF, and in these cases it may be possible to export to Postscript and convert to PDF using Adobe Distiller.
Read these instructions carefully before starting your book design. We recommend that you print this page for reference.
Important notes:
- It is essential that the colour management is set up correctly in your chosen application so that the files are Adobe RGB or profiles are embedded if they are not Adobe RGB.
Before starting:
- Download the Momento PDF Export Settings file
- Save the file to a convenient location

Install the PDF export settings file:
- Run Distiller
- In the Settings menu, select "Add Adobe PDF Settings"
- Locate the dowloaded file and click OK
Create your book design
Now use your preferred design tool to layout your book design according to the Momento page specifications, then export the file to Postscript
Convert the Postscript file to PDF
Run Distiller and select "Momento-PDF-Export-Settings in the default settings list, and then Open the Postscript file to convert it to PDF.
Check your export
When viewing the exported file in Acrobat (Pro or Reader), the colours should look correct. If an image's colour doesn't look correct, then go back to the relevant page and ensure that the colour profile is correctly set as Adobe RGB.
